The two areas function together as a single presentation, allowing visitors to encounter both the artist's active practice and a focused selection of finished work.

MAKE IT
MAKE IT is a functioning artist studio within the fair.
The participating artist is expected to be present and actively working throughout the fair. This is not a performance or scheduled demonstration. The intention is to create the conditions of a working studio and allow the natural activity of an artist's practice to become part of the fair experience.
Artists should consider what they genuinely need in order to work effectively within the space and how their practice can adapt to the practical realities of a temporary studio environment.
TAKE IT
TAKE IT is the presentation and collecting side of the space.
Finished works are installed and available for visitors and collectors to experience, discuss and acquire. The TAKE IT side must be staffed by a gallery representative, project representative or other person capable of discussing the artist's practice and managing enquiries and sales.
This allows the artist to remain focused on working while the commercial side of the presentation remains active and professionally managed.

WHO CAN APPLY
MAKE IT / TAKE IT welcomes applications from:
GALLERIES
Proposing an artist whose practice is particularly suited to the MAKE IT / TAKE IT format.
ARTIST-LED PROJECTS
Independent initiatives proposing a focused artist presentation.
INDEPENDENT ARTISTS
Established professional artists able to present and manage their practice independently within the fair.
Participation is selective and limited to approximately 8–10 spaces.
Applications are considered on the strength of the artist's practice, the quality of the proposed presentation and, importantly, how naturally the artist's working process can inhabit the MAKE IT / TAKE IT format.
The strongest proposals will not simply place an artist inside a booth. They will demonstrate why experiencing that artist at work alongside their finished work creates something worth encountering.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
The online application will ask for:
• Applicant and contact information
• Gallery, project or artist information
• Proposed artist
• Artist biography and/or CV
• Website and social links
• Images of recent work
• Images showing the artist's practice or working environment
• A short description of the proposed MAKE IT activity
• A short description of the proposed TAKE IT presentation
• Indicative range of works and pricing
• Relevant previous exhibition or art fair experience
• Technical or production requirements
Applications should be clear and concise. We are interested in understanding the artist, the practice and why it makes sense within MAKE IT / TAKE IT.
THE SELECTION PROCESS
MAKE IT / TAKE IT is intentionally small. The inaugural Palm Beach edition will include approximately 8–10 participant spaces, allowing each presentation to remain visible and integral to the experience of the fair.
Applications will be reviewed by the MAKE IT / TAKE IT curatorial team.
Selection will consider artistic quality, suitability for the format, the proposed MAKE IT / TAKE IT presentation and the balance of the fair as a whole.
Submitting an application does not guarantee participation. Successful applicants will receive a formal invitation to participate together with the exhibitor agreement, final specifications, payment schedule and production information.
