HERE AND NOW brings together the artists, curators and production experience needed to make ambitious public art happen.

From a single mural or site-specific intervention to a multi-artist program across an entire city, we work with cultural organizations, municipalities, developers, businesses and brands to turn opportunities for public art into successful projects.

Our approach begins with the place. Every community, site, and project comes with its own possibilities and challenges. We help define the opportunity, develop the creative direction, identify the right artists and build a realistic path from the first conversation to the finished work.

With an international network that includes some of the most experienced artists working in public space today, HERE AND NOW can connect projects with practices ranging from large-scale muralism and painting to sculpture, installation and site-specific intervention.

HERE AND NOW can enter the process at any stage. We advise on public-art strategy and project development, curate artists and programs, manage commissions, coordinate production and oversee projects through installation and completion.

For larger initiatives, we can help develop the framework for an entire program, bringing together multiple artists, sites and partners within a coherent curatorial vision.

ARTISTS WHO KNOW PUBLIC SPACE

The HERE AND NOW Artist Network includes internationally recognized artists with extensive experience creating work in public space around the world.

These are artists who understand scale, architecture, materials, production and the particular challenges of making work outside traditional gallery environments.

Just as importantly, we understand that the right artist for one project may be entirely wrong for another. Our role is not simply to provide a roster. It is to create meaningful connections between artists, places and ideas, selecting practices that make sense for the project and giving artists the conditions they need to make exceptional work.

BUILT ON EXPERIENCE

HERE AND NOW is led by practicing artists, curators and cultural producers with decades of combined experience across public art, exhibitions, mural programs and large-scale cultural projects in Europe and the United States.

That experience includes the curation and production of more than 100 public artworks, leadership of major mural and public-art programs, museum exhibition curation and collaborations with artists, cultural organizations, festivals, municipalities and commercial partners.

It gives HERE AND NOW a practical understanding of public art from both sides of the project: the creative realities facing artists and the organizational realities facing the people commissioning their work.
